Doula Support

“Once I was helping women, I fell in love with women. Like that first lady, when she looked into my eyes... you can't help but love someone who is working that hard and putting out great, pure effort to have a baby.”

- Farm Midwife Pamela Hunt, CPM

Let’s take the time together you need so you feel prepared to have this baby.

So much of prenatal care in our system is rushed and often leaves you with more questions than you walked in with. When we work together, we will have four+ hours in-person together to really dig into your preferences, your goals, and your wishes. I will help you find the ways to feel safe, heard, and seen as you welcome this baby into your family.

Doulas + Partners

A large part of my role as your birth doula is to help you (as the birthing parent) find your coping groove while you labour. I bring the skills to keep you as comfortable as the moment will allow. Equally as important, is helping your partner be the best support they’re able to be on the day.

Your lover will be amazing support on your baby’s birth day, because only they can love you like they do.

As your birth doula, I am a part of your team but I could never (nor would I want to!) replace your partner. My goal is that you and your partner feel more connected and that you had an intimate experience at your birth. Your lover’s job on the day of your birth is to love you.

If you have a partner, I’d love to meet with both of you when we have an interview. It’s really important that I’m a good fit for both of you so you can feel confident in my ability to provide the right support you’ll each need.

  • "Christine was on call for our son's birth and she was amazing. She was so calm and was able to answer all of our questions throughout, and I felt very comforted by her. She was so helpful in dealing with the pain of labour. Unfortunately I ended up needing quite a bit of medical intervention and a C-Section, not at all what we expected or planned for, but luckily Christine was there with us through everything, which made it a lot less scary. And she was completely respectful of the decisions we made. Best of all, she took photos for us which we would never have had otherwise, and they are the most special photos in the world to me.”

  • “I had a home birth and hired Christine as my doula. My experience with her was something I will never forget. It was my second baby and she made the experience so much easier to get through. She was helpful in the prenatal stages and was there at the drop of a hat when I needed her for labour. She took the stress off my husband, let him do other things and stayed by my side the entire time. She has a certain loving, kind, and guiding way about her that really helps you get through labour with ease. She was very helpful for postpartum and breastfeeding knowledge as well and always checked in on us to see how we were. I would recommend her to everyone! I am forever grateful to have had her guide me through this birth.”

  • "This was our second time having Christine as our doula. My husband and I were both so grateful to have her with us again! When we first met, she said that her role as a doula would rise to meet whatever the moment called for. After two very different pregnancies and births, I can definitely vouch for that being the case. At a time of so much intensity and vulnerability, I always felt like Christine was looking out for us. On the practical side of things, Christine truly has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. With her guidance on babywearing and breastfeeding, our new family was better equipped to move through its early days with more ease, confidence, and connection."

  • "From the moment we met with Christine over coffee it felt very comfortable and familiar. Two very good and important qualities for someone who will in relatively short time go from total stranger to attending your birth! I didn't even really know for certain that I wanted/needed a doula, but I can say now in hindsight, it was a very smart decision. Having Christine at both of our births gave me a level of comfort and confidence that I'm sure would not have been possible without her."

  • "Her unwavering support and kind soul is just what I needed. I am so glad I was able to have the amazing support that Christine gave me. She supported my husband to help him better support me and the three of us had an amazing experience thanks to her. I can’t thank her enough for the kind of loving support she provided me during my first birth experience. She truly is the best doula!"

The next step is to reach out and tell me a little about the type of support you’re seeking.

Once I get your form I’ll be back in touch to let you know if I’m available.

If I have space in my calendar, I’ll offer you some dates and times for a zoom meeting so we can be introduced and you can get your questions answered. Let’s chat.
