Supporting All Families

Birth and parenting are rites of passage for the families who choose it. All families have the right to safe, supportive, and evidence based care and support. Birth joyfully happens beyond the binary, and belongs with all families.

I fiercely support and defend a family’s right to reproductive health care and their right to choose.

BIPOC, differently abled, and LGBTQIA2S+ lives matter. These communities and families can face additional barriers and discrimination while birthing in our colonially designed system. A portion of my fees are donated to support BIPOC community initatives.

My doula practice, continuing education, and community supports are inclusive, trauma-informed, and centre around human rights in childbirth. With great humility I learn to be anti-racist so I may continue to denounce and reject colonial systems of oppression and white supremacy.

Supporting births in your home, The Arbour Birth Centre, all Calgary hospitals, Canmore General Hospital, High River General Hospital, and Olds Hospital. I work with clients who are in the care of midwives, low-risk maternity clinics, O.B.s, family doctors, and if you’re birthing independently.

I gratefully acknowledge the Nations who graciously share and welcome us on their ancestral homelands, including the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley First Nations), As well as the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
Beyond acknowledgement, my reconcili-action includes donation of a portion of my fees to Indigenous groups in Region III.

Come with me and let’s smash this white colonial patriarchy together.
